On Sept. 24, 1950, she married Leonard Buchholtz at the Stewartville United Methodist Church. The couple farmed in the Spring Valley area. She also was a waitress at the Fish House in Stewartville. Mrs. Buchholtz was a member of Sumner Center United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband; five daughters, Rita (Mrs. Greg) Malone of Spring Valley, Vickie (Mrs. Chuck) Duncan of Ogden, Utah, Sandra (Mrs. Brent) Kaul of Prior Lake, Minn., Julie (Mrs. Paul) Olberding of Winona and Cindy (Mrs. Gary) Krahn of Wykoff; and two sons, Rick and Tony, both of Spring Valley; 25 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Myrtle (Kleist) Tjepkes of Spring Valley; five brothers, Charles, Maynard, Jerry, Donald and Bill Tjepkes; and four sisters, Sharon Ellis, Linda Rollie, Judy Skifter and Kathy Bakken. She was preceded in death by two sons and her father.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thauwald Funeral Home in Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. She married Leonard Amos BUCHHOLTZ, son of Rinehart BUCHHOLTZ and Hazel Gertrude WINSLOW, on October 23, 1950.
