Dear friends & family,

As most of you may know my dear little Mom (Bertha Louise Ahlstrom) died peacefully early in the morning of Wednesday, February 2 . This fall and early winter, Mom had been recovering from open heart surgery and lung problems but was slowly improving when she had a large stroke on Satuday morning , Jan 22, and I called 911. She was in the hospital for about ten days when she died. She had a wonderful, full life and was a month shy of turning 88!. She will be greatly missed but we have been honored and blessed to share her life and enjoy her for so many years.

In case you are interested, her memorial service (cremation) will be held on Tuesday, February 8, at 2 PM at the Calvin Presbyterian Church, 177 Glendale Avenue in Long Lake (just west on Highway 12 between Long Lake and Maple Plain.) A visitation will be one hour prior to the service and a reception will be held in the church fellowship room immediately following the service. Private burial.

Note: If you are planning on attending the service, take 394 west and it turns into Highway 12 west. Go through Long Lake and to the first stoplight just west of Long Lake. Take a left onto willow (by MacDonalds), go over a bridge and a very short distance and take a left onto Glendale. Glendale will take you around to the front of the church to the parking lot (The church has a very steep roof that looks like praying hands.) Regardless of what mapquest may indicate, DO NOT turn left onto South Brown Road at the light in Long Lake - that road is still closed due to construction.
