On his tombstone his birth year is recorded as 1812, which I am listing as his birth year until more information becomes available to me through further research. In the 1840 census I believe the notations junior and senior are refering to younger and older, and not son and father.

The household lists what seems to be a Clara Redman, however this would appear to be Laura S. Redman, who would be about 15 years old and probably living at home.
