The DAR has him born 1741 but I have also seen others have his birthdate as 1749 anyone know which one is correct? He was the son of William B. MATHENY and Elizabeth PARKER. Nathaniel MATHENY married Rachel THOMPSON, daughter of James THOMPSON, before 1772. Nathaniel MATHENY married Sarah SATTERFIELD on October 24, 1814.
