Phyllis T. Buchholtz -- Stewartville

STEWARTVILLE -- The funeral for Phyllis T. Buchholtz will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Racine United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Victoria Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Sumner Millet Cemetery in rural Racine.

Mrs. Buchholtz, 79, of 110 Fourth St. N.E., No. 110, Stewartville, a retired Saint Marys Hospital employee, died Saturday (July 5, 2003) at Stewartville Care Center of complications of a stroke suffered Friday. She had lived at the care center the past five months.

Phyllis T. Holman was born May 23, 1924, in Hatton, N.D., grew up there and graduated from Hatton High School. She was a switchboard operator for Northwestern Bell in Grand Forks, N.D., until transferring to the Rochester office in 1950. She was a telephone operator at Rochester State Hospital from 1960 to 1967, then at Saint Marys Hospital until her retirement in 1981 and continued part time at Saint Marys for another 15 years. On June 21, 1953, she married Lyle Buchholtz at Sumner Center United Methodist Church in rural Racine. She was a longtime member of Sumner Center United Methodist Church and the Stewartville Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and until 11 a.m. Wednesday at Griffin-Gray Funeral Home in Stewartville and an hour before the service at the church.

     Nicholsö HALSNÖY married Paul Pederson SKIMMELAND, son of Peder Steffenson SKIMMELAND and Guro Larsdotter KULLESEID. Nicholsö HALSNÖY married an unknown person.

     Arne HALSTVEDT married Ingebjorg Jakobsdotter NAKLING, daughter of Jakob Edvardsen NAKLING and Marie NOTTVEIT, at Norway.

     Liv Arnesdotter HALSTVEDT is the daughter of Arne HALSTVEDT and Ingebjorg Jakobsdotter NAKLING.

     Wilhelmina HALTI married Chris Kirkkomaki HILL.

     Ane Dorthea Andreasdotter HALTUG was born on December 4, 1819 at Norway. She was the daughter of Andreas Olsen DYRSTAD and Beret Jakobsdatter HALTUG. Ane Dorthea Andreasdotter HALTUG married Kristoffer Vilhelm Pettersen KOLSTAD, son of Petter Rasmussen ELDEN and Ellen Kristine Christoffersdotter BAKKEN, in 1845. Ane Dorthea Andreasdotter HALTUG died in 1915.

     Beret Jakobsdatter HALTUG was born in 1797 at Beitstad, Nord-Trondelag, Norway. She was the daughter of Jakob Rasmussen HALTUG and Anne Nilsdatter *UNKNOWN. Beret Jakobsdatter HALTUG married Andreas Olsen DYRSTAD, son of Ole Berntsen DYRSTAD and Dortea Arntsdatter *UNKNOWN.

     Ingeborg Jakobsdatter HALTUG was born in 1806 at Beitstad, Nord-Trondelag, Norway. She was the daughter of Jakob Rasmussen HALTUG and Anne Nilsdatter *UNKNOWN. Ingeborg Jakobsdatter HALTUG married Olaus Olsen BERG in 1840.

     Jakob Andreas HALTUG was born on March 18, 1825. He was the son of Andreas Olsen DYRSTAD and Beret Jakobsdatter HALTUG.

     Jakob Andreasen HALTUG was born in 1822. He was the son of Andreas Olsen DYRSTAD and Beret Jakobsdatter HALTUG. Jakob Andreasen HALTUG died in 1823.
