Doctor John Richard GILL was born on February 3, 1874 at Sumner Township, Fillmore County, Minnesota, United States of America; Born in 1873 in Rochester, Minnesota according to obituary. Since his LDS record is closer to the time of the event, that birth year will be used as the most likely to be more accurate. According to his World War I draft registration card, he was born on February 3, 1874. Since this record is closer to the time of the event than his obituary, and since he filled it out himself, I will use this as his birth date. He was the son of Richard GILL and Anna Jane PARKHILL. Doctor John Richard GILL married Alice M. R. DALE, daughter of *UNKNOWN DALE and *UNKNOWN *UNKNOWN, circa 1921 at Lovelock, Pershing County, Nevada, United States of America. Relationship=5th great-grandfather of Lane Robert ELLIS.
William GILL was born on June 24, 1725 at Saint John the Baptist Church, Dronfield, Dronfield Parish, Derbyshire, England; Based on William's marriage in 1749, his birth date would likely have been before 1728 in order to be of the legal age of 21 in 1749. Examining the Dronfield parish register IGI entries the only likely match is William Gill christened June 24, 1725, which would have made him 23 years old at the time of the 1749 marriage. Since the next earliest William in the IGI was christened in 1672, making him much too old for a 1749 marriage, and since no other William's were christened after this entry until 1756, I believe this is the most likely match for William's christening, until further research is conducted. He was the son of Joseph GILL. William GILL married Ann GILL on February 25, 1749 at Saint John the Baptist Church, Dronfield, Dronfield Parish, Derbyshire, England. William GILL was buried on May 7, 1803 at Saint John the Baptist Church, Dronfield, Dronfield Parish, Derbyshire, England; Burial, May 7, 1803, William Gill of Woodsmithies, page 165 (land tax entries show widow gill in place of William Gill of Woodsmithies after he died, while William Gill listed as a carptenter was still shown alongside Widow Gill entries in following years.). He died on May 7, 1803 at Woodsmithies, Unstone, Dronfield Parish, Derbyshire, England, at age 77; Burial, May 7, 1803, William Gill of Woodsmithies, page 165 (land tax entries show widow gill in place of William Gill of Woodsmithies after he died, while William Gill listed as a carptenter was still shown alongside Widow Gill entries in following years.).
