CHATFIELD -- The funeral for Mark C. Finley will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul cq Lutheran Church in Chatfield, with the Rev. Lyle Kath officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Finley, 87, of Chatfield and a retired area farmer, died Tuesday morning (June 15, 1993) at Chosen Valley Care Center in Chatfield where he had resided since March 30, 1992.

Born Aug. 6. 1905 in Jordan Township, Fillmore County, he married Erma Krumdieck Oct. 2, 1940, in Chatfield. They farmed in Jordan Township until 1965 when they retired from farming and moved into town. Mr. Finley then worked at Rochester Methodist Hospital and Chatfield Hatchery, and had been custodian at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chatfield.

Survivors include a daughter, Charlotte (Mrs. Larry) Meeker of Chatfield; two grandchildren; and three sisters, Carolyn (Mrs. Elmer) Meyer of Winona, Edith Balcome of Rochester and Suzie Werra of St. Paul. A granddaughter, five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday at Riley Funeral Home in Chatfield and an hour before the service at the church. He married Irma KRUMDIECK.
