My fathers mother died when he was eight years of age, so he had little memory of her. His father died when I was three years of age so I never had the advantage of knowing them in my childhood. Both of them are buried in the east Dayton cemetery at the front center as one enters. Grandma Olive is buried in the Ellis lot and grandpa Joseph adjacent to the Ellis lot. The old marble stone had deteriorated so I replaced his marker with a new one in 1960.
